Ozcare Noosa Heads

All residents pay a basic daily fee of 85% of the Australian Single Aged Care Pension. Depending on your circumstances, you may also need to pay a means tested care fee and/or accommodation charge for your room.

Facilities

Multiple well-appointed, stylish common areas are open for everyone to enjoy. Watch a movie on our large screen TVs, get lost in a good book from our library, take a break in one of the quiet rooms, use the internet on one of our computers, get your hair cut at the hairdressing salon, relax in the lounge with tea and coffee making facilities or head outside to enjoy our extensive grounds with BBQ facilities, sitting areas, gazebos, gardens and walking paths.

On special occasions, take a trip outside the centre on our small bus or join in on the festivities held every month - there’s always something to do, and a friendly smile from the people there to help you.

Our activities areas range from 48.8m2 to 81.7m2, lounge rooms from 48.8m2 to 39.9m2 and smaller sitting rooms scattered across each wing from 24.9m2 to 39.9m2.

  • Help with everyday tasks
    Such as washing, grooming, continence management, moving around, checking hearing aids, cleaning spectacles, eating, and using utensils
  • Nursing care
    24 hour emergency assistance, administration of medications, injections, oxygen treatment, wound care, and stoma care
  • Health care
    Physiotherapist, psychologist, podiatrist, dietitian, speech pathologist, dentist, optometrist and hairdresser that come to the facility (fees apply in some cases)
  • Meals
    Nutritious meals made by our chefs, who cater for all special dietary requirements
  • Transition support  
    Emotional support to adjust to your new living environment such as access to chaplains, church services, community visitors, and health professionals
  • Social activities
    A diverse range of programs and social activities, bus outings, library with newspapers and books, telephones, televisions, VCR, CD and DVD players
  • Amenities 
    Laundry services, postal services, cleaning, and maintenance

Visiting hours
We welcome visitors at any time of the day or night, just as you would in your own home. Animals are also welcome to visit as long as they are restrained and don't enter dining areas.

Application process
Every person wishing to move into an aged care facility is assessed by a member of the Australian Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). ACAT will visit you in your home or at hospital to discuss your needs, provide you with information about your care options and advise you of your eligibility for subsidised services.

Contact the Australian Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) and arrange a time for an assessment in your home or hospital

Submit your Combined Assets and Income Assessment form (SA 457) to the Australian Government’s Department of Human Services

Download and fill out the application forms and return them to the facility, or request one to be posted to you.
