Extra Funding Means Extra Community Services From Ozcare
People living in the Moreton Bay Shire Region will benefit from new opportunities to access support from Ozcare’s broad range of services, following increased funding from Government.
Assistant Regional Manager Ann Lucy welcomed the extra funding saying said that it enables Ozcare to provide a full range of in-home nursing services, personal care and social support, as well as respite for carers.
“Ozcare’s services can make all the difference to people who would like extra support to continue living independently in their own homes, and importantly, there is support for carers.
“Our services complement each other and I would encourage individuals and family members to make enquiries with Ozcare to find out what support is available for them - to help them to manage better.
“Many people wait until there’s a crisis before finding out what’s available, whereas support for maintenance of health and well-being now, may help in preventing a crisis in the future,” she said.
Ms. Lucy said, “We can provide respite support for carers - with both in-home and centre-based Day Respite – allowing them to have time out to do things they need to do – knowing that our trained staff are reliable and will care for their loved one while they’re away,” she said.
“Ozcare’s Day Respite at Caboolture provides the perfect opportunity for seniors to have regular social outings with interesting activities and entertainment.
“In addition, transport is available to and from the Centre and meals are provided,” she said.
Ozcare also has Carelink Medical Alarms which are designed to keep people safe and secure in their own homes by providing 24 hour assistance and monitoring service.
