Ozcare’s Commitment to Excellent Client Care

Ozcare continues to commit to an excellent quality of service delivery and client care in all its areas of service including Aged Care, Community Health, Community Care and Community Support across the State.

Ozcare’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Lenz said that Ozcare has continued the expansion and upgrading program that it began nine years ago, in all areas of service and its facilities.

“Ozcare has placed itself in a position to support the Aged in residential and in-home care, both now and in the future, which we hope make a significant contribution during these difficult times in Aged Care.

“In Residential Aged Care, Ozcare developed strategies aimed at accommodating ageing-in-place which includes low care, high care and special care.

“This has resulted in brand new and redeveloped ultra-modern facilities across the State, designed for the first-class comfort of residents and excellent working conditions for staff.

“We recently opened our $8m redevelopment at Ozcare Port Douglas which offers all levels of care and more than doubles the number of beds, in response to community need.

“Next year we will finalise the ambitious 4 year redevelopment of Ozanam Villa Townsville, as well as the construction of a new Aged Care Facility on the Gold Coast,” Mr. Lenz said.

In 2008, Ozcare’s building expansion program also includes the opening of new Branch Offices at Loganholme, Robina and Chermside.

Next year, Ozcare will open its redeveloped and extended Mackay Office, and new Branch Offices in Rockhampton and Northlakes in the growth corridor north of Brisbane.

Mr Lenz said these building projects have been necessary to accommodate the growing number of services Ozcare provides to the community.

“In recent years, our services in Community Care, Community Nursing, Allied Health and Mental Health also expanded geographically throughout areas such as the Moreton Bay Shire and the Fraser Coast Region.

“Similarly, our Community Support services have grown in number.

“Ozcare is committed to support for the Homeless with new services and a new facility.

“We are building a new Homeless Men’s Hostel in Toowoomba without any funding from Government,” he said.

Mr Lenz said that Ozcare places much focus and importance on maintaining and ensuring excellent standards of quality in Ozcare.

“Importantly, Ozcare is a quality certified organisation compliant with International Standards Organisation (ISO 9001: 2000).

“Ozcare staff work hard to uphold excellent quality standards across all aspects of the organisation  and to ensure our clients have the best possible care,” he said.
