Spring Fair for All at Burleigh Heads
Preparations have been made and the Ozcare Day Respite Centre at Burleigh Heads is set to burst into carnival mode on Monday 22 September 2008 at 8 Matilda Street, as part of their annual Spring Fair.
The event, running daily from 10.30am to midday from Monday 22 to Wednesday 24, will be held during the school holidays so that the young and the young at heart to come to join in the fun and games.”
Ozcare’s Diversional Therapist Katrina Vuori has been leading the preparation for the Spring Fair over the past several weeks.
“Everyone enjoys the beginning of Spring and the Centre has been abuzz for weeks with the build up to the Fair - making big paper flowers and all the decorations with a Spring theme,” she said.
“It’s going to be spectacular - we have a fabulous program for a party carnival atmosphere with something for everyone.
“We’re having lucky door prizes, handicrafts, books, prize wheel, bric-a-brac bargains, and the popular cake and jam stalls.
“We have a huge cent auction with 30 fantastic prizes to be won, including a Sunshine Coast holiday, generous meal vouchers, baskets of great goodies, family passes to Australia Zoo and many other lovely prizes.
“Entertainment includes a roving magician, daily concerts with great local talent and delicious Devonshire Teas.
“We have very happy people who come to join in the action-packed daily programs at our Day Respite Centre and this is a good way for them to share what they enjoy with friends, families and other visitors,” Katrina said.
Ozcare is a not-for-profit organisation providing health and human services to an estimated 9,000 Queenslanders daily, including residential Aged Care, Community Care, Community Health and Community Support Services.
