• Maintain and develop positive links with their community and support networks. 
• Minimise exposure to situations of higher risk
• Address the immediate issues leading to homelessness.

The service also aims to educate government and non-government agencies in relation to the early identifiers for people who are in danger of becoming homeless.

The service is available to young people (18 years and older), families including single parent families, single fathers and people from all cultural backgrounds.

Clients may be currently renting public or private housing, live in caravan parks, boarding houses or private hostels.

Objectives include:

• Early identification of those at risk
• Promotion within referral networks
• Education of potential referring agency staff
• Prevention of referred clients becoming homeless
• Use of collaborative case management

This is an outreach service which works to empower clients by providing information on available services. 
It works collaboratively with a variety of service providers to access support and assistance for clients.

Proactive intervention is provided through in-home visitation, relevant and appropriate role-modelling and up-skilling through:

• Transportation
• Mentoring
• Advocacy
• Group work
