A common fear associated with moving into aged care accommodation, is that couples who have shared the same room for most of their lives will have to be separated from their partner.
At Ozcare we understand the importance of staying together when moving into aged care. Many of our older aged care facilities offer larger shared rooms with private ensuites that can be utilised as couple’s accommodation.
In our newer facilities, we are able to offer two rooms next two each other and they can be configured as desired. For example, one room can be used as a bedroom and the other as a living room, allowing couples to stay together.
We encourage you to contact us to discuss how we can best accommodate you and arrange tours of your closest aged care facilities.
We encourage all of our clients to make their rooms feel like home by furnishing them with a few of their favourite personal belongings. From comfy armchairs, bedspreads and pillows to pot plants, family photos and artwork, it’s these little touches that make aged care accommodation feel like your own.
With your own private bathroom and outdoor patio or balcony, all that’s left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy each other’s company.
All of our aged care facilities offer intimate lounge areas and kitchenettes for you to use with visiting family and friends, along with outdoor areas for entertaining.
We encourage our couples to get involved in our range of activities on offer, whether that’s individually or together, and we love the opportunity to help you mark those milestone wedding anniversaries with special celebrations.
