Our Ozanam Villa Aged Care Facility in Clontarf has opened the doors to a new 36 bed extension including a new secure dementia wing. Designed with maximum comfort in mind, the three story, $9 million extension offers single rooms with private ensuites, secluded balconies, cosy lounge rooms and intimate dining areas.
Each room has been equipped with state of the art technology to include a wall mounted flat screen TV, sensor lights and air-conditioning throughout. Large individual bathrooms make showering easy, built in robes with full length mirrors provide plenty of storage space for residents’ clothes, and a lockable cupboard is available for personal belongings. Soft, earthy tones and the use of natural timber achieve a warm colour palette to give it the warm feeling of home.
With 28 of the 36 rooms already filled, the coming weeks will see residents move into their new home with the help of staff and families. We’ve welcomed new employees to the team to meet the needs of the additional residents.
Amidst the excitement of the new extension, we’ve also welcomed a furry, four legged friend by the name of Harry. A gentle natured cocker spaniel, Harry is currently being fostered by Ozanam Villa Clontarf with a view to adopting. Harry loves his new home and family, and I’m told has a knack for charming visitors on tours of the new extension.
The recent building work at Ozanam Villa Clontarf also saw neighbouring St Catherine’s Day Respite Centre receive a much needed refurbishment and extension.
