At Ozcare we do things with heart, and it’s important that we do because for the past 25 years we’ve been caring for the people in our community who need it the most.
Our 3,800 staff go over and above to deliver exceptional care and support to over 15,000 Queenslanders.
We’re proud of the depth, passion, dedication, and of course, heart that exists in our workforce. It’s for this reason that we introduced our Ozheart program, to recognise the biggest hearts in Ozcare and the wonderful work that they do.
Each quarter we recognise the accomplishments of employees we hear about all the time but don’t get the chance to recognise formally. They’re the staff who make a positive difference in the lives of their residents, clients, and colleagues.
They are part of a care team who work together to ensure that every single aspect of a client’s care is considered; from carers, support workers, nurses, dementia specialists, allied health professionals, and hospitality staff to the wonderful administrators and management who support them.
We invite everyone to share their experiences of an Ozheart and help us recognise Ozcare employees who are doing exceptional work no matter what their job description.
Who to nominate
The Ozheart program is designed to recognise Ozcare employees who embody the spirit of our organisation:
- Constantly going the extra mile
- Providing exceptional care or doing exceptional work
- Displaying a positive attitude to health and wellbeing
- Helping their colleagues and other departments
How to nominate
We accept nominations from clients, Ozcare employees, and the public at any time through the Ozheart nomination form on our website.
To celebrate the success of this program, we have developed an Ozheart introductory video to showcase the wonderful work our staff do every day in our community.
