If you are an NDIS participant and have been approved for the support category ‘assistance with social & community participation’ in your NDIS plan, you can choose from the supports below.

Supports

Participation in community, social and civic activities

Join in community, social and civic activities in your area with support from our friendly carers who will be with you every step of the way, helping you participate, and strengthening your ability to participate independently. Together we’ll find activities that you can join and help you get the most of it.

Group and centre based activities

Ozcare has eight day respite centres located around Queensland that provide you with a fun, social outing where you’ll get to meet new people and get involved with our activities.

Whether you like to have a dance, do some craft, or borrow books from the library, we have something for everyone. We often go on excursions to have a picnic or visit a local attraction, or have people come to our centre to perform for us. Our activities are designed to be enjoyed by everyone and we can offer you support to join in if you need it.

Our cooks provide a delicious morning tea and lunch for you to enjoy, and cater for all dietary requirements. If you need help getting here, we can help with that too. Most of our day respite centres offer transport to and from your home, if you live in surrounding suburbs.

If you’d like to visit one of our day respite centres before you join, call your nearest centre for a tour.

Support Categories

Each support category contains a number of services that you can choose from to help achieve your goals. You can use your budget for any of services within that support category, but you are unable to use this budget for services within another support category. In some cases, you may be approved for a specific support (rather than a category). In this case, you will need to use your budget for this specific service only. Read more about NDIS plans.

Flexibility of Services

With NDIS, you have the power to choose the services that best suit your needs and goals, including how services are delivered. Each of the services above can be tailored to your specific requirements, and changed as your needs change.

Why Ozcare?

With 20 years’ experience providing disability services, we focus on your strengths to support you to achieve your goals. To provide consistent personalised care, we make sure that you continue to see familiar faces for each of your appointments so you can get to know your carers and feel comfortable with them.

Cost of Supports

The NDIA publishes a price list, which sets out the cost of each support. This is the price you will pay no matter which provider you choose. In some cases, a price for a support may not be fixed, and we can provide you with a quote that the NDIA will approve. Read more about NDIS costs.

Availability

Our NDIS services are open to all NDIS participants with an approved plan. We have branches all over Queensland, from the Gold Coast to Far North Queensland use our locate a service finder to find the nearest branch to you. Read more about NDIS eligibility.
